These last few weeks have been crazy busy! I cannot believe all of the craziness that has been happening! God has been showing me the work He’s been doing in my life and it is mind-blowing. Even with all of the good things that have been happening, there are always a few not so good things that counteract them. In James 1, James speaks of how one should always rejoice in the good that God bestows upon us AS WELL AS the bad things that happen. Everything God does is for a reason…EVERYTHING.
Going back to my first post and the reason why my URL is “it’s Your breath in our lungs”, I’ve been seeing the theme of God always being with us a ton in my life lately! Today, I was in the waiting room for a doctors appointment and I was super bored and I kept thinking, “man I wish someone was here with me instead of me being here all alone and bored”. I pulled out my phone because I didn’t know what else to do but I didn’t have any service so none of my apps were working. I do have an offline bible app so I decided to just go ahead and start reading from it so I might take my mind off of being bored. I began reading Joshua and Joshua 1:9 talks about how He is always with us-wherever we go! It just reminded me of how it is His breath in our lungs and He is never far from us.
He is perfect and He is working perfectly in my life. Though I am constantly stressed and always running around, I know that God has a plan for all of it. I have had a difficult past that I don’t share much of because I don’t like thinking about how I have been affected by it but recently, a good friend of mine, Ashlyn, introduced me to a YouTuber named Cambria Joy. She posts kind of random videos but they are all SO encouraging! One of Cambria Joy’s videos really hit home with the topic she was speaking out about. After watching that video, I felt a strong push that God wanted me to share my heart with someone and who better than the person that introduced me to the video that helped make God’s want known to me?? So I shared my heart with Ashlyn and I have never had such an encouraging and accepting friend as she has been and I know that I am truly blessed to have her in my life.
I bought these sticky notes over a month ago and they read “Things I Get to Do”. That has changed my perspective radically. Instead of thinking “oh my goodness, I have so much I have to do!”, you get to think “I GET to do all of these things, I have the opportunity to do all of these!” I absolutely love this because it helped change my mindset from being so negative most of the time to being more positive.
The one year anniversary of my baptism is coming up so I’m getting pretty pumped for that. I was baptized with another girl so we have a super cute baptism anniversary date scheduled to get together and talk about how God’s been working in this past year and talking about our goals for our upcoming summer adventures!
The most exciting thing that has been happening is that I am getting prepared to go to Philadelphia to work with the Center for Student Missions at the end of May. I.AM.STOKED. I know someone who is currently a city host with CSM in Philly and all of the pictures and statuses she has been posting are just getting me more and more excited!
I know that this has been a pretty random assortment of happenings in my life but these are the major events that have happened in the last few weeks so I decided to kind of sum it all up in one post. I am just really excited to be growing so much lately and getting so much closer to Him. I cannot wait to see what He has in store for me next! I know that no matter what happens, it is always His will, His way, ALWAYS.
