I love movies. Watching movies is probably one of my favorite things to do. There are five specific movies that I can watch over and over again and learn something new each time without getting sick of watching it for the fiftieth time. These are my faves.
1) One Nation Under God/Beware of Christians
These are documentaries produced by Will Bakke, who also stars in the film, that follow four guys as they travel first, all around the nation and then in the second one, they go all over the world. These films are really inspirational and they make me want to go out and talk to people about Jesus. Plus, these guys are not only hilarious but they aren’t bad to look at either.
2) Love Actually
This movie is 11 years old now but it is so timeless. It follows a few different people’s lives and their relationships around Christmas time. All of the people’s lives are somehow intertwined which makes it a pretty interesting movie because you get to see how events in different people’s lives affect the others. But I must warn you that there is some nudity so try to watch the censored version. The message of the movie is perfect though and I love it.
3) Crazy, Stupid Love
This movie is full of twists and turns and Ryan Gosling shirtless and Dirty Dancing moves and it’s perfect. I love it. Steve Carrell is always on point.
4) the entire Bring It On series (minus the second one)
I just love these movies. not the second one. the second one sucked. But all of the other ones are amazing. I am absolutely obsessed with them. One of my good friends and I frequently quote the third one back and forth and we can go for awhile when we do that. We can quote full scenes between the two of us. After I watched the fourth one, I saw that there was a cool feature where you could learn one of the dances and I spent HOURS learning how to do that dance.
5) Mean Girls
I like this movie because it is funny and it just makes fun of the cattiness of high school girls and shows how ridiculous it all is. Plus it’s really quotable. My mom and I love it and frequently quote it to each other. Like at one of the schools she used to work at, they all had matching pink school shirts and they decided to wear them on Wednesdays. My mom didn’t realize it until I pointed it out to her when she was telling me but after she realized, she frequently told people that on Wednesdays, they wear pink.
I know that I cheated on #1 and #4 but it’s hard to pick one when they are all so similar and all so good! So I grouped them up. #hatersgonhate
